Letter From The Director
Dear Friends,

Welcome to the oldest railroad station in America! Completed by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in 1831, this National Historic Landmark is the perfect complement to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum’s downtown campus. Here we showcase the people who built and operated America’s first railroad, tell stories of soldiers and citizens caught in the turmoil of Civil War and highlight the clash of technology that transformed America’s transportation systems from Roads to Rails.

There’s something here for everyone! The Ellicott City Station boasts one of the most acclaimed HO scale model railroads in the country, living history programs engage children and families and it’s located directly on the B&O Railroad’s historic Old Main Line over which CSX Transportation operates massive freight trains every day!

Changing exhibits and living history programs are offered throughout the year, please check the calendar of events, visit often, and consider purchasing a membership so that you have access to all of our programs, exhibits, special events and BOTH historic sites for an entire year!

Thanks for visiting our website... we look forward to welcoming you through our door!

Sincerely,

Courtney B. Wilson
Executive Director
